Travel and tourism exhibit starts in Bangalore

Travel and tourism fair, part of the largest network of travel fairs in India, started at Dr Prabhakar Kore Convention Centre in Yeshwantpur earlier on Friday. The 3 day festival has joined a whamming hundred and seventy five participants, including representation from nineteen Indian states as well as 9 nations.

A chopine where a huge number of tourism and travel organizations have co-operated to demonstrate their states as top holiday places, the first day at the fair was booked for travel business visitors. The exhibit is open to public on the remaining 2 days.

Participating Indian states include – Punjab, Bihar, Delhi, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Kerala, Rajasthan, Puducherry, Maharastra, Lakshwadeep as well as the host state of Karnataka, who has a strong presence in the exhibit.

International participants are led by Nepal (also the the Partner Country of the show) and Malaysia (the Feature Country). Other participants include Bhutan, Mauritius, Bali, Indonesia, Maldives and Singapore. Presentations and Road shows are also being made at the exhibit. Malaysia is aggressively promoting their beach activities, island tourism, adventure tourism among other top attractions of the country.

The travel and tourism fair is backed by Union Ministry of Tourism as well as distinguished travel industry organizations including Indian Association of Tour Operators, Indian Exhibition Industry Association, Travel Agents Association of India, Outbound Tour Operators Association of India, Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India, Pacific Asia Travel Association and Incredible India.
